Do Diets Really Work?
Yes, they do. Why? Because majority of diets eliminate a food source which puts you a in deficit with your nutrition. Remember.. to lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit (eat less calories than your body uses).
Most diets will partially or completely cut out a food source; Keto eliminates carbs, Atkins also eliminates carbs, Paleo eliminates grains, dairy and processed foods, and the Whole30 Diet eliminates sugars, grains and dairy.
Essentially.. eat less calories than your body uses and you will lose weight.
There is no one-size -fits-all when it comes to what nutritional choices or “diet” to follow. The most important thing is that you are in a calorie deficit and you can maintain your nutritional habits. If you can’t see yourself being able continue with your “diet” in the next year, you need to find another way to eat for your goals.
